Come to the continent of Africa and enjoy the tours to this part of the world. Some of the regions of Africa are very hot and give the most intriguing delights.

With the kind of ambience and the most beautiful surroundings in this part of the world, experience the best of tour pleasures and enjoy coming here to this lovely vegetated land. The extreme temperature here generates extreme winds and this is the reason there are wind farms in Africa.

Amongst the many wind turbines that are found in the African region and Kenya is one such land where you would get to see such wind turbines. There are more than 365 huge turbines in Kenya and they are all installed in the desert regions around Lake Tukrana in the northern part of Kenya. This has in fact created the biggest African wind farm. It is a project that has been supported by the African Development Bank and would have a great capacity and it has one of the highest proportions of wind energy that would be fed in a national grid in any part of the world.

The natural fuel in Kenya comes from the wind and also from the hot underground rock and the sun. Their potential is great and is sometimes hardly considered. Once the set up cost is achieved the energy is almost free. The region is blessed with one of the highest wind velocities in the entire world and gets the best ways of getting exposed to the sun. The African countries have actually been a little slow in getting the alternative power methods. Egypt and Morocco have been taking giant strides towards ensuring that the wind power is on commercial scales. The countries of Ethiopia and Kenya are also onto making an effort to fill the gap between the supply and demand that is available here. They are getting used to tapping the wind energy and Ethiopia has in fact a lot of wattage in the Tigray region thus covering around 15%of the electrical capacity. Ethiopia has intentions of covering a lot more projects like these and in fact Tanzania has a lot of plans to generate around 100 MW of power from two projects in the Singida region. To ensure that wind power is generated and dependence on the coal generated energy is reduced South Africa has a kind of feed in tariff for the wind power. There are many people who are interested are contribute by helping to generate wind energy. In fact this is the first region in Africa that has contributed to this respect. The Lake Turkana wind Power Project has the German Consortium taking care of it and has leased around 66,000 hectares of the largest desert lake. There is a hot wind that blows here in the entire year and the region between the Ethiopian and Kenyan highlands are filled with a kind of eco tourism that is also being followed.

But it is a tedious task to transport turbines to the secluded regions of this area like the Loiyangalani. The place is also around 300 miles to the north of Nairobi. The trucks have to ply on the bridges and roads and these need to be mended. There are also security issues which make the local tribal people carry guns with no inhibitions. Kenya would take lot of efforts to promote a lot of clean energy and also some amount of sustainability which have crossed a lot of wealthy countries. The ecotourism industry here is made of small lodges and camps most of which have turned to solar and wind power as another method of burning stoves. There are droughts here which have made the demand for firewood more as this is what the Africans normally use for cooking their meals. The excessive use of firewood is turning the grasslands and also the savannahs into grassy patches. According to the Household Energy Network or the HEDON there is a lot of smoke that is produced by the wood. This is also the fourth leading cause of disease and death in the countries in the world today.

So you decide to take a break and get into the pristine locales of greenery. You scour the Internet and try deciding which is the best way to make your trip constructive from all fronts. Being a very aware citizen you also don’t want to damage environment further. So you decide to indulge in some ecotourism. Eco tourism is a way of visiting place and getting yourself more aware of the ecological balance in the world.

Of the many places in the world, Trinidad and Tobago comes across as a great place for eco tourism. Just lying around 10 miles from Venezuela, this beautiful region has the best kind of flora and fauna and is said to have been a part of Venezuela but got separated some 11,000 years back. This offshoot of the Ice Age is a beautiful region of mountain ranges and hills with rich alluvial soil dominating the region. The Trinidad island has three mountain ranges – The Central, Northern and the Southern Hills. They are headed west and have the EL Cerro del Aripo as the highest peak. At a height of around 3000 feet, the place is made of quartzite, phylite and limestone. Here the soil quality is not very good and the vegetation is predominantly rainforests and woodlands of elfin. There are some plains having alluvial soil and the savannah belts are found here in plenty. The Caroni floodplains are also a main feature here.

Deciduous forests are found in the southern plains and they border the coastline. The hills are filled with two swamps – The Caroni Swamp and the Nariva Swamp. The Caroni lies in the western side ,the Nariva Swamp lies in the east and the Los Blanquizales Swamp in the south west.

While Trinidad is famous for this, Tobago has the reefs bordering the island and the water here is a beautiful blue green. The ranges here are from north to east and also from south to west. The Pigeon Peak here is a beautiful high locale and is the highest peak point. At an altitude of 1800 feet, a visit here certainly leaves you spell bound. There are lot of islets on the eastern portion of Tobago, and deciduous forests dominate the region mostly. The vegetation here is scrub and xerophytic and limestone is the main rock here. While you take a tour of this place you would be taken to the Pigeon Peak Reserve which is a haven for birds and is existing since 1765.

Eco tourism here is beautiful with the varied habitats and species found here and is a perfect entry for the ecological balance in this part of South America.

Trinidad and Tobago have a seasonal climate and the flora and fauna thrive according to the climate here.

With this kind of variety of animals, birds and trees, Trinidad and Tobago form a perfect place for eco tourism. With the myriad variety around, you certainly wouldn’t want to miss this pristine virgin spot tucked away in this part of the world.

Of the many eco parks and the places of green expanse in the world, one of the recent ones is the Chitwan National Park in the country of Nepal. Earlier known as the Royal Chitwan National Park, this park was founded in the year 1973. In the year 1984, it got the position of a World Heritage site. Covering an area of 932 Sq km, this is found in the Chitwan district of Nepal. At a height of 100 to 815 m it is found in the Churia Hills in Nepal.

Long time ago, this park was the favorite ground for hunting for the people of Nepal. Here the hunters used to hunt for leopards, sloth bears, tigers etc. In the year 1950, poaching became widespread here and the first law towards conservation was laid in the year 1957 wherein the rhinos came under protection. Thus the area around River Rapti was recreated and a wildlife sanctuary was created. In 1963, the parks got extended and the sanctuary started getting famous. But in the 1960’s again, the jungle land was replaced with human inhabitation and the use of DDT and constant poaching ensured that the rhino population declined here. Thus in the year 1970, officially the Chitwan National Park came into existence to protect wildlife getting extinct here.

The park has its headquarters at kasara. There is a Gharial and a Turtle Conservation Breeding Centre besides a Vulture Breeding centre here. One can find the Silk Cotton Tree and the Sal trees covering majority of the park, besides Pine, Indian Rosewood, Elephant Apple, creepers etc. The park is witness to bushfires, erosion etc. there are plants of catechu, rhino apple trees, Indian gooseberry etc.

A ride around this park shows a variety of fauna also the basking mugger crocodile being famous. The King Cobra and the Rock python are also common here. There were around 235 gharials here in 1950, near the River Narayani. Today there are only 38 gharials here. The Bengal Tigress and the Bengal Tiger are also regular inhabitants here. Besides this, leopards, marbled cats, golden jackals and the Indian wild dogs are commonly found here. The animals are relocated from Chitwan to Bardia National Park and the Sukla Phanta Wildlife reserve. The elephants bulls and the gaurs are also found here. Besides this, the wild boars, sambar deer, hog deer, and antelopes are found. Amongst the birds the Paradise flycatcher, and the black chinned yuhina, and the Goulds besides the parakeet is found here.

The name itself is enough to spread the adventure around the air and adventure freak will decide instantly to pack their bags and get ready to leave for the place. There are several places in South Africa that are verdant enough to preserve the natural treasures of the world. The wildlife watch of the place can be a great idea and more because of the well-designed trips offered by the tour operates there.

Among the best places in South Africa probably the most visited ones are Cape Route and garden Route. These areas are well known for the stunning views that it involves. The dramatic vies of Table Mountain situated on the city of Cape Town is worth watching and the restaurants, wine lands, township tour will fascinate you as well. The tour operators have recently added some more adventure apart from safari rides on camel back and jeep. You can now enjoy whale watching tour and shark cage diving in the wild waters of South Africa. The famous conservation park Kruger National Park is also situated in South Africa and several safari trips are available in this park. Those who are experts in swimming can enjoy scuba diving where trained scuba divers will keep you under constant vigilance. You can swim in to the continental shelf of South Africa and sway around easily and safely of course.

The Cape Town visit for the tourists is now made a little off-the-track with the inclusion of intriguing safari destinations. Meeting the people of Venda is one of the modern safari and tourists like the way they stay and find it amazing to know about their lifestyle. Exploring the wild sands of Kalahari Desert is another exciting safari that you will find in South Africa. Many individuals often go for a self driving holiday trip in South Africa.

People go for jeep safari and camel safari often but can you imagine going to a walking safari? It can be an amazing experience to walk through the wonders of nature that have been to the lands of Kenya. It is not a tiring walk along the grass and forest lands as is commonly thought from its name. Tourists have the option of deciding the duration of the safari and thus can make the tip delightful in their own terms. Typically, such a trip involves four days and the guests are guided by Maasai tribal and Samburu locales. The trip will be exclusively for the northern part of the Kenya.

The guests will be received either at Porini Rhino Camp or at Nanyuki on the first day and then they will start of with a new and short safari. On your way you will be fascinated to see the herds of Oryx, Zebra and gazelles passing by. You will be walking through the mixed bushes and have to hack your path occasionally to make it able to walk. The team of people will move on with the pack of camels and you can find recess in portable camps. The Masaai tribes will guide you through the way. At night you can relax in your night camps.

The entire journey you will continue through the wildlife and you can taste the real essence of living among the world. You can witness the animals and the landscape along the Ewaso Nyiro River. You will be spending the afternoon by the riverside and shall commence your journey again in the evening. You can safely swim in the river or go for angling in the river readily. Walking around the Laikipia Plateau is adventurous and as you are nearing the Samburu National Reserve, your path will be covered with grasses signaling you the forest conserved within.
